PROGRAMS AND CLASSES
REGULAR WEEKLY MEETINGS:
The UOK (Ukulele Orchestra of Kamloops) meets on Monday evenings, 6:30 - 9:00. Location: Kamloops United Church, 421
St. Paul Street, Doors open at 6:10, meeting starts at 6:30 and goes to 9:00. There is plenty of parking close by and a large lot across the
Street. The evening includes the following:
Weekly meetings are also held for the Tuesday Ukulele Circle, meets on Tuesdays 1:30 - 3:30 p.m. North Hills Community Centre (Cottonwood Manor), 730 Cottonwood Avenue (see map below) in the Games Room. $2 per person venue charge, if a member of the North Shore Community Centre ($15/yr), $3 for those not a member. Please check our calender under "Upcoming Events", as our schedule may change due to holiday seasons.
The last Monday of each month is a Ukulele Circle at the Kamloops United Church, 421 St. Paul Street. Players are encouraged to bring a song that they would enjoy playing and singing, please bring extra copies to share with others (if you do not wish to bring a song, please join us any way). $3 per person. Please check our calendar under "Upcoming Events" as we occasionally meet at a restaurant or other location for a social evening - with our ukuleles of course. Our schedule may change according to holidays, please be sure to check our calendar.
*ADDITIONAL UOK INFORMATION:
You are welcome to join us on Monday evenings as a guest for four practices before deciding whether or not to become a member. If you wish to join us in public performances, membership is mandatory. We love to play our ukuleles and perform, but you are not required to join us in performing. Those choosing to perform are encouraged to wear dark pants and a UOK T-shirt or a bright colored T-shirt. Please inquire at the meeting if you would like information on acquiring a UOK T-shirt.
